Interactively displayed, the artifacts allow would-be inventors, students, business people and visitors to perform hands-on exploration of the past and present with opportunities to predict future evolution. Working with area universities, programs are also being set up to allow students to earn credits for projects performed. Because Schenectady still has the most patent holders per capita of any city in the world as well as thousands of electrical engineering retirees, students will also be provided mentoring services.
